Gold and Silver Medalist at the 2017 New York Festival’s World’s Best TV & Films
Following the success of our Grand National Opening Film, we were thrilled to win another commission from Channel 4 to produce the Opening Film for their superb coverage of the F1 British Grand Prix 2016. Built upon the vision of a living breathing graphic novel, our concept was a stylized interpretation of the story of the British Grand Prix; from its heroic beginnings into an unbelievably sophisticated Formula One event.
Hero drivers take us through the decades on a fictional lap of the track from the 1950’s up to Lewis Hamilton’s win in 2015. Set against a backdrop of bold, cool graphics and with a roaring soundscape of commentary and evolving engine sounds, the result was a visceral, dynamic Opener that built excitement for 2016 race.
